Shrine Mont 09

Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One, Have Mercy on Us.
Twenty-plus children and adults responded with these words at the conclusion of each of the 14 Stations of the Cross that we walked, traveling up hill to the Cross at Shrine Mont. Each participant was moved by the powerful message of our Lord’s sacrifice conveyed at each Station. The weekend was an opportunity for spiritual growth and intergenerational fellowship. We joined together for meals, evenings of old-fashioned board games, and an afternoon service project. What a feeling of accomplishment we had after clearing out the ditch! The mud and briers didn’t deter the group’s determination to clear out the bed of this stream that flows down the mountain to feed the gardens at Shrine Mont.
