Women's Retreat 09

Splendid weather was enjoyed by all during our annual retreat at Shalom House in Montpelier. Fellowship, teaching, singing and even craft time were hallmarks of the weekend. Barbara Gonzalez and Kathryn Bailey displayed real servant leadership as they changed a flat tire on our speaker's car. Way to go, ladies! (Phillippians 4:13--I can do everything through him who gives me strength.)
Teaching on the subject of "Priceless Treasure", our speaker Chris Cooper (pictured seated in picture #1) used scripture, personal stories, and much group interaction to emphasize the great treasures Christ has given us. Chris rounded out the theme with singing, (music provided by Janet Runion), and even a craft, (organized and led by Sherry Weaver). 29 women attended this year's retreat and enjoyed great fellowship, wonderful meals (which we didn't have to plan or cook!), and time to step back and reflect on the many priceless treasures with which we have been blessed.
